Best part about Dalma is close proximity to an Industrial town of Tatanagar/Jamshedpur. After alighting at Tatanagar station you can be in the sanctuary within an hour... Ready availability of transport is a definite plus... There is the old FRH at Pinderbera and the new facility at foothill near the entrance.. Dawn and dusk in spring and winter are magical.. Solitude of the forest and whistle of the wind are the company you are left in.. Riding the trail on a mobike.. You are greeted by inquisitive tree dwellers, a must see..Pachyderms sighting needs you to be accompanied by an approved guide. also available at the entrance(book in advance both room and guide).. Full credit to the DFO in charge for his vision in developing the facilities for tourists..
Dalma trek is an awesome experience. And the view of jamshedpur from above is just so spectacular and surreal.
An adventures place for anyone to visit it is approx 18 KM distance to the top from the entrance. You will not get any facility if you reach to the top it is better to take necessary items before going there and also be careful to the road bumpers before the entrance.
Amazing place. Beautiful forest surrounded by elephants, peacocks, gaint Indian squirrel etc. Must take food items grocery if you are planning a visit.
Nice, peaceful place. While one may not see much of wildlife here, the place is serene enough to warrant multiple visits.
