  • It's a paradise on earth. Calm and soothing atmosphere. Nature at it's best. It is the only place that hosts fresh water and salt water streams simultaneously. This is the reason it is the home for over 300 species of birds. There are two routes, route A and B. Best time to visit is early morning in winter. Carry a long range binocular.
  • One of the must visit places of Jamnagar. It feels so good to see birds flying freely and living their lives without any fear. Winter is the best time to visit this place. You get to see many Flamingo in mid January, and many birds from other countries as well. Visit here if you are a nature lover and love to see birds.
  • Best place for nature lovers. It will be good to go there in the morning before sunrise you will love to watch that. And also at the time of sunset. If you are going for photography you should visit before sunrise so that the photo's will be good.
  • The place was supposed to be visited at dawn just at sunrise. We were there at 6am but the gates were locked. A sleepy watchman let us in after we banged on the gates and he opened up a museum which was quite well presented with information about the bird sanctuary and sample audios of bird calls. But several displays didn't work. The ticket counter lady showed up almost close to 7 am and the sun had risen really well. In a place where time factor is crucial for optimum sighting, this sort of lazy behavior on the part of the staff is unacceptable, especially since they charge tickets. By the time we got tickets (they charge Rs 200 for camera - cell phone cameras don't count), and drove in search of the entrance gate (which was also locked and we found some gaps in the side to get in) it was way past that early morning time. Waterbirds like storks and cranes could be seen but not much else exciting. There are benches by water-bodies to sit and look for birds but you need time and patience. It was just a long early morning walk and not worth the camera fee or ticket fee. Maybe in December of January more migratory birds could have been seen.
  • A place when you have a chance to familiar with different types of birds like Local birds & Migratory birds.
