  • Yeah dear friends its beyond history. Here 180miliions old or more than that old tree trunks are preserved. near about 17km from jaisalmer city.
  • More than the 180 million year old fossils, this place is about the desert like landscape, the picturesque surroundings and the cool breeze. Oh and there are also Emus that you can feed. Note that we went in the winters though. You might want to avoid this place in the summers.
  • Amazing place for curious and historical, scientific minded persons... Here with.. lot more to know.. 180 millions year old wood and sea fossils scattered over 21 acre bare ground... With some preserved specimens.
  • It is nice place to visit. We have had similar experience in USA in archeological national park. Surprised to know that we have same kind here in Rajasthan
  • Akal Wood fossil Park is being maintained by Desert National Park, Jaisalmer which is a unit of Forest Department, Government of Rajasthan. It’s located nearby Jaisalmer on national highway no 15 towards Barmer. It has wood fossils displayed for tourists and for those who have interest in geology of the area. I would suggest as "Must visit" place if you are willing to go Jaisalmer. These are evident of how mother earth changes its own geography from a coastal area in to a desert.
  • Amazing place....!
