When touring the Amber Fort, don’t forget to visit Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), a chamber decorated with an array of mirrors on the walls and ceiling. The hall was built in the 17th and 18th centuries, designed to shimmer in candlelight and reflect the rays of the sun. Admire the intricate reliefs and detailed carvings on the walls, decorated with thousands of tiny mirrors, some covered with vibrant paint and foil. From the mirrored hall, you can enjoy a scenic view of the lake below. • Mesmerized by the beauty and grandeur of the place which has withstood the ravages of time and is as beautiful today as it must have been in its heyday
  • This was a great place to see and take pictures. Our tour guide told us the Hall of Mirrors was built so the King and Queen could feel like they were sleeping under the stars. Amazing craftsmanship!
  • We enjoyed riding the elephants up the main palace grounds. Doing some advanced research or visiting with a guide is best. The solicitors taking pictures can be quite pushy, so keep walking if you are...  more »

  • One of the beautiful palaces the country has. As the name suggests Sheesh Mahal (Glass Palace), you will find enormous amount of mirrors and mirror artwork. Lay around and enjoy the beauty of it!
  • A very beautiful decorative place. Small Belgium glass is glued on the wall of the mahal in a beautiful and decorative way. In ancient time, at winter this place is usually used because glasses hold the heat of the sun and makes the place warm.
  • Sheesh Mahal is the prime attraction of the Amber Complex. Ornate mirrors decorate the beautiful hall while there is a garden beside. Simple breathtaking.
  • Being an integral part of the Amer fort, this hall of frame is no less in leaving everyone in shock of awe & adore. The mirrors all around with the lights after sunset enhances its beauty even more.
  • Very amazing and beautiful thing I have ever seen on this fort. And you can capture yourself in those mirrors with correct angle and manipulation with camera settings.
