  • This monument located in main place of Amber fort complex Amer Jaipur Rajasthan. This Pol is very beautiful and amazing architecture must visit with family and friends.Ganesh pole is constructed 1611to 1667 by king Jai Singh II.
  • Ganesh Pol is in the south side of the courtyard of the palace in the Amber Fort. It was built in the honor of Mughal Emperors under whom the Maharajas of Jaipur served in their army. Ganesh Pol has an alluring image of elephant headed god. It is build in the architectural style of kingdom and Lord Ganesha(elephant God) is in the middle of the long arch. And the interesting fact is that Lord Ganesha is not put in the traditional style but in the profile. This depicts the viewer about the Hindu traditions rather than depicting the real god. It is one of the seven gates of Amber Fort and it was built between 1611 and 1667. This gate of Amber Fort is a royal mix of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles. This was built to access the private sections of the Amber Palace by the royals. It is one among the marvels of the dignified palace. It is great to see that the curved gate has been painted with vegetable dyes and still retains its originality. The typical traditional ornaments are embedded on the gate which is worth watching in the entire fort. Ganesh Pol is a majestic path to the elegant and beautiful royal garden. The images are carved out with charming colours which attracts the tourists. this was built by Rajaputra clan, Jayasingh II.

Where to stay in Jaipur

With a big selection of budget and mid-range hotels, Jaipur serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. Many taxi and rickshaw drivers aggressively push their choice of hotels on unwitting tourists--if you refuse their suggestions, they might double the fare. To avoid this inconvenience, book your room ahead and call the hotel to arrange for a pickup--many offer shuttle services to and from the train and bus station.
