  • The interiors of the temple are adorned with mythological paintings of various Hindu deities. There is a large marble console which depicts all mythological events. The outside of the temple is as beautiful as its interior with steps to the temple, which are also made out of marble. There are various sculptures and images of various deities that add a different charm to the whole place, including various pictures of great legends, philosophers and achievers like The Socrates, Christ, Buddha and Zarathustra. The temple also houses a museum which has all ancestral belongings of the Birla family. The temple is also surrounded by lush green trees which simply add to the calm and peace of the temple. Thronged by devotees throughout the day, the temple is especially crowded during the festive season.
  • Very nice and peaceful place. You can meditate in peace here. The place is well cleaned and well maintained by the management. There is ample space for small kids to get comfortable even in rush days. Just beware of food stalls available on the main gate, as they are near to poisonous. Inside the premises, small shops selling handicraft items are more than good in terms of rate and quality.
  • The elegance of the place comes into light as you walk towards it. Not very visible from the main entrance and as one walks through the beautiful gardens and plantation around, the stunning white structure is a pleasing sight to watch. That’s as much as you can capture with your camera as photography is banned inside the temple. The inside of the temple is as magnificent as outside. We were here in the evening and I’ve heard that with lights on in the night, the experience is bliss. We couldn’t stay longer and so missed the lighting but if you do go in the evening stay around for the lights to come on. The atmosphere inside is peaceful , bliss and as spiritual as it can get. No entrance fee here and parking is available.
  • This holy place is so good that I can spend my hours here. I had a 2 hour morning walk to reach this place with my dad and I loved it there it was a pleasure to be here. I liked the way it was build and the way they are keeping it with their efforts and I do feel that this has helped many people! I must tell you that this is a must go to place in my list! You must try once as I say this!
  • This is a very quiet place. This temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu and goddess Laxmi. You can feel the energy inside you here. The temple is a true beauty with its white marble structure that just makes you fall in love with it. The regular visiting hours are between, 8.00 am to 12.00 noon and 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm every day. Apart from the main temple, a majestic museum that displays the ancestral possessions of the Birla family, and a stunning garden with shops. Guides aren’t available in this temple since it is not as huge a place that may require a guide.

Where to stay in Jaipur

With a big selection of budget and mid-range hotels, Jaipur serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. Many taxi and rickshaw drivers aggressively push their choice of hotels on unwitting tourists--if you refuse their suggestions, they might double the fare. To avoid this inconvenience, book your room ahead and call the hotel to arrange for a pickup--many offer shuttle services to and from the train and bus station.
