  • Central Museum is located in a beautiful Palace. Cost 300 rupees within many works of art: paintings, coins, textiles, musical instruments, glassware, weapons. Informative, interesting exposition.

  • One of the interesting attractions we visited during our stay in Jaipur in January was the Government Central Museum, otherwise known as Albert Hall Museum. This building, along with the nearby Ram Niwas Garden, was once referred to as the 'Pride of the New Jaipur' when its doors opened in 1887. In addition to the this architecturally intriguing building, there is an equally interesting and eclectic collection of curios that can be found here. The Ram Niwas Garden has clearly seen better days and to be honest, the outside of the Albert Hall Museum wasn't the most appealing of sights. The area is concoction of too many pigeons, people, a lot of rubbish (at least the day we visited) and too much traffic. However, once inside the compound area, the Albert Hall Museum had some interesting things to see. The most prized item within the museum is the large 17th century Persian garden rug found in the Dunbar Hall. However, we most enjoyed seeing the miniatures and the paintings on the outside wall of the museums. There are some nice coins, weapons, statues and other interesting discoveries that can justify a couple hours of your time to explore if you enjoy such things. Overall, we found the Government Central Museum quite interesting and are glad to have seen it during our most recent trip to Jaipur. We wouldn't consider this a better attraction than those found in and around the Pink City but its a decent place to consider if you are interested in architecture and/or curio collections.
  • The hall is breathtaking from the outside. Not so much to see inside. They have a beautiful collection of artifacts of historical value but only those who know about them can understand their value. Mostly, old paintings, art works, etc on display. However, make sure you visit before sundown since the The views outside the place are picturesque. Don't postpone your entrance pictures for later since you will exit from another gate and the entrance view cannot be captured elsewhere.
  • Albert Hall is the best museum in Jaipur and it becomes the most popular tourist attractions of the city. Good place for cycling, running and taking a walk in morning, nice crowd. A brilliant museum having thousands of antique and historical things from weapons of paintings and from books to musical instruments. The museum has 16 galleries in total and one gallery is declared 'galary of the month'. Albert hall is not only for its nice collection but also for its wonderful Architecture.
  • Cultures of various other countries are also portrayed here through their network. A brilliant museum having thousands of antique and historical things from weapons to paintings and from books to musical instruments. It's a must visit for people interested in knowing about Indian culture and specifically Jaipur's history. Paintings, sculptures, utensils, weapons, clothes, instruments and many other things made in Jaipur in provincial times some centuries ago are displayed in the museum which powerfully reflect Indian heritage in each one of it. A nearly two thousand years old mumy of Egypt is also a major attraction here....
  • There is nothing to cut from rating..I always love this place...if you are in Jaipur you must visit this place..the outside view is really interesting and beautiful there you can capture lots of beautiful clicks in you cam. There you can see lots of sparrow and birds and when you go towards it, it fly together and that time you will get a very innocent and sweet picture....there lots of movie and dramas shoots happened. Inside the museum there is nothing there is only a mummy which I think is not original but they were telling like this is imported from Egypt and is 5000 yrs old but I don't believe on it...there is chidiyaghar or zoo there you can see lots of birds and animals and various breed of tigers. I always love this place
