Water thunders down Dhuandhar Falls, located on Narmada River, so powerfully that it creates a roaring noise and a mass of mist. If you wish to swim in the river, which is considered one of the five holy rivers in India, head upstream where the water is calmer. Take photos from the viewpoints and choose souvenirs from the local vendors. Consider taking a boat tour, which introduces you to the river and its natural features. • Beautiful gushing waterfall flowing all the while. When the waterfalls it seems smoke coming out of the falls hence the name Dhuandhar Waterfalls. Beautiful location and multiple points to view. Nearby there is White Marble rocks lining up Narmada river. These rocks are mesmerizing as they glow very differently throughout the day and especially in the moon light. Full moon lake tours are famous in this region.
  • This place is really Amazing. It is so wonderful to be here. When the waterfalls it seems smoke coming out of the falls ( Dhuandhar Waterfalls ). Must visit the falls and must go for the boat ride. Boat ride costs 100/head and the guides are amazing. They make you laugh and tell you many stories of that place.you must check out the amazing marble carvings to make nice show items and sculpture. The artists here are amazingly talented. • waterfall is a river or other body of water's steep fall over a rocky ledge into a plunge pool below. Waterfalls are also called cascades.   The process of erosion, the wearing away of earth, plays an important part in the formation of waterfalls. Waterfalls themselves also contribute to erosion.   Often, waterfalls form as streams flow from soft rock to hard rock. This happens both laterally (as a stream flows across the earth) and vertically (as the stream drops in a waterfall). In both cases, the soft rock erodes, leaving a hard ledge over which the stream falls.   A fall line is the imaginary line along which parallel rivers plunge as they flow from uplands to lowlands. Many waterfalls in an area help geologists and hydrologists determine a region's fall line and underlying rock structure.   As a stream flows, it carries sediment. The sediment can be microscopic silt, pebbles, or even boulders. Sediment can erode stream beds made of soft rock, such as sandstone or limestone. Eventually, the stream's channel cuts so deep into the stream bed that only a harder rock, such as granite, remains. Waterfalls develop as these granite formations form cliffs and ledges.
  • A stunning place, Not a tall waterfall, but it does a lot of magic nonetheless. Its a worthwhile place, the 200 rs for vehicle entry is a bit too much. considering its only a 100 mars walk from the gate. All else is good.
