Marvel at Balancing Rocks on a top of a rocky hill, a famous tourist spot near the base of a historic fort. See an eroded volcanic rock balancing on a huge boulder and enjoy a panoramic view of the ancient Jabalpur town and the surrounding countryside. Looking like a giant potato under a tree and amidst peculiar rock formations, the rock balanced through an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale in 1997 so it is safe. Located on a narrow road on a way to the temple and surrounded by picturesque low, rocky and barren hillocks, the site provides a good and relatively quick photo opportunity. This place clearly defines how to defy gravity. The entry is free. located next to Rani Durgawati Fort. Many rock structures are there. Is open from sunrise to sunset. This place is good for photography and school picnics. Make sure to carry water bottles. This is a small campus and only one rock is balanced on the other. Rest other rocks are unevenly distributed.

Jabalpur is famous for the natural marvels - the Balancing Rock. The Balancing Rock is the example of the eroded volcanic rock formations. The rock balances on the huge base rock by just touching it slightly. Yet it is amazingly that the Balancing Rock survived even in earthquake of magnitude 6.5. It is said that it's impossible to disturb the balance of this rock.

It is Unbelievable. The rock is withstand on a very small part of it also it is tilted in one side but it is in the balanced condition. My guide says even previous earthquake doesn't effect the rock balance. The place is good for photography. Although environment is good and place is clean. This place is near from main city jabalpur, So You can add this place in your travel list.

No entry tickets, it's better you visit here at night because of lighting. Currently the work is going on but I'm sure it will be completed in a month. Nice location to have fun.
