Built in 1875, where according to mythology; Bada Ganpati a resident of the city dreamt of Lord Ganesh and built the temple in the lord’s honor. It is believed that inside the temple is the largest statue of Bada Ganpati being 25 foot in height from head to toe. The statue is made from a precarious mixture of materials including limestone, jiggery, bricks and mud and finished in a bright orange finish. It is believed that the god brings sense to household’s paths to success and is highly regarded in southern India.   • They will tell you it is huge but don't bother it's not that tall ,might be 12 -14 feet at most and then courtyard is quite small too just good for a one time visit.
