  • Home to the highest tea plantations in the world. The factory at the tea estate still uses traditional technique of tea production. Old machinery still bearing the logo, gives an old world charm. Friendly factory employees explain the tea production process while encouraging us to do the process ourselves. One should try the different flavors of tea. Panoramic views, fresh air, the mountains surrounding the place, makes the place awesome.
  • One of the best place to watch sunset and sunrise on top of the mountains. If thick fog is there, the view becomes very beautiful. The Jeep safari to place is a bit tough because of the off road conditions. There is no proper road and hence a big bumpy ride. It will be too hard for people with joint issues especially back problems. From the view point you can also go to a small tea factory where you can buy organic tea. There are toilets available besides the factory and also you can see and understand the different processes involved. Note: for a better view, walk through the mountain top ridge which starts behind the tea shop. The Jaguar rock is a famous rock here. Caution must be taken as it is too deep on both sides of the path leading to it.
  • It'll take more than 2.30 hrs to reach there from munnar but it's worth travelling. Kolukkumalai view point is the best I've seen. Surely you'll enjoy it and I hope you'll enjoy my pics too
  • Very scenic place. The best time is to reach there is before sunrise. Sunrise is something every all must watch. Off-road jeep ride for 10 km could be trouble for the aged
  • Really an adventurous place.. We need to hire a Thar(Jeep) to climb the mountain as there is literally no road upwards (Almost 5-7 Kms) to the estate and tea factory. The narrow path is full of rounded rocks of different size and it is both impossible and extremely uncomfortable to drive the vehicle at more than 5 Kmph speed.. Make sure that you do not go there with pregnant women, physically unfit people, grandparents, those with backpain/problem with disc etc.. The path is extremely difficult and require good physical condition to successfully complete the trip.. Also don't try to play smart by taking your own offroader/thar into this place.. If you do, then there are great chances that you'll regret later for that decision.. I've seen few thars, gypsy, bolero etc got break down halfway and unlucky strangled people had to pay really really huge amount of money to get help from the local drivers..
