  • Astounding architecture. Mersmerising landscape view. Supplies water for hydro electric project in Moolamattam. Great tourist location. Suitable for family. Children may be tired while walking to dam site. Speed boat rides are quite interesting in this artificial lake. Accommodation available in the nearest town Cheruthoni. People spend 1 to 2 hours.
  • A must place to visit. Let all kids see the dam and also see the power house, pipes where the water flows to the power house etc. Its a nice atmosphere where you will get fresh air. See the beautiful "Kuravan and Kurathi Hills"

  • It will be a very good experience for all to see the majestic Idukki dam. This is one of the biggest double curvature arch dam in Asia. A must see place.
  • Photography is not allowed and you are not allowed to take your mobile/camera in there. Hill View Park is the place from where you can see the dam and click pics or you need to go the back side of dam to have a look at that massive structure. From the entry point you need to walk 2.5 kms to see the dam.
