Located just on the bank of the river Ganga, Daksh Mahadev Temple is a spiritual temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Queen Dhankaur built it back in 1810, where it is also known as place of pilgrimage for devotees of Maha Shivaratri. Named after the King Daksa Prajapati, according to mythology he was one of the fourteen Prajapatis, a creator of dieties that is known for proliferation and procreation.   • Goddess Sati's Father Daksh and this kankhal is place where they live... and this Temple on the name of Daksh so Daksheswar Temple.
  • It is very beautiful place in kankhal Haridwar where people become happy to reach here. This is the place where maa Sati seat in Hawankund and Lord Shiva bring out from here and weeping where the bubbles of weeping fall there a rudraksh tree built naturally. Here maa Ganga came and maa parvati touch their feet and bath in Ganga river everyday. So from bath in this place the people free from Moksh.
