Chandi Devi Temple, Haridwar

4.4
Perched high up on a mountain and visible from far away, Chandi Devi Temple represents one of most ancient temples in India. Highly revered as a place where wishes are granted and blessings dispensed, the shrine is reachable by a 10-minute cable car, though you can also hike if you'd rather skip the line of waiting tourists. The present structure from 1929 may not seem overly visually appealing, but the spot it occupies provides a panoramic view of the area. • Very good Hindu temple. You can come via Rope car only after 8 AM which will charge you 65 rupees person for one way. You can use stairs as well If you want to come before first pray (Aarti) in temple. From here you can see some very good natural views. If you'll use road to come down from temple you will see many beautiful natural views as well. Don't use stairs use road to return.
  • If you want to visit the temple, make it a whole day affair because of the huge rush that can be found here. If you go to the temple at around 12 the n there will be around 2 hour waiting for the cable car ride. Better go there early in the morning at 8. People go by jeep as well but equal amount of rush. Many people go back without visiting thinking they will visit in an hour.
  • According to Hindu Religion it is also 5 star or grater than 5. If you want to see river ganga you can go there. Mansa Devi have an accreditation here any who pray for god by heart and want something it will be fulfill by god.
  • Mansa devi is said to be "wish fulfilling" goddess. Two major ways to go, one by stairs other by cable. Plain path is also there but restricted sometimes due to jungle area. You should eat ramfal, a red coloured fruit on the way. Its very healthy and medicinal.
  • One of the most visited places in Haridwar I'll say. Situated on the top of a 540 m hill, it is easily reachable through trolley services, but one would prefer to walk up the hill. Start around 5:00 pm, spend some time in the Mandir and while you are on your way back down, you'll see an alluring beautiful city lighted up, shining ,in your own eyes.
