Hop inside a coracle ferry and admire smooth rock and boulders of Tungabhadra River, a popular tourist destination near the ruins of Hampi. View paddy fields and reservoirs on the side of the river, and visit a huge temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman on the top of the hill overlooking the river valley. The area is criss-crossed by ancient network of canals and aqueducts and you will fell going back at least half a millennium. The river looks calm but could feature many unexpected and dangerous undercurrents so visitors are advised not to swim or dive due to many fatalities in the past.
