Learn about the ancient technological achievement in terms of collecting the rain water at Stepped Tank. Because of the dry and rainy periods, people of the region had to come up with a way to preserve the excess water, and prevent flooding in the same time. Thus, this tank was built, half a millennium ago. Besides being useful, it’s also an example of marvelous architecture through almost perfect symmetry of the stones laid in the ground to form a pit where the water is kept.
