  • Very beautiful place! We were there at dusk, when there were no tourists. Managed to quietly look like and then relax on the grass looking at the wonderful view of these great buildings.

  • There are a number of stone-built. Even so, stone built buildings pieces are also good. If you travel to the Central and southern India, just take a look at the ship heard

  • Amazing structure. An ideal place for a group photo shoot. This structure is in the same premise of Lotus Mahal. There is a huge lawn where you can sit and relax after having walked through the entire complex.
  • At the beginning I didn’t know the rooms are stables for elephants. I took many pictures wondering what they were for. When I read the sign saying it’s elephant stable. I had to wonder how beautiful the queen’s or the king’s palace should be like. How many people must have starved when the so called royals are making all these buildings so beautiful.
  • It is also very good conditions structure of elephant stable. In great ancient times people also think about animal too.
  • It’s my luck to see all this stable, I never knew about this before
  • A beautiful place and in a very good conditions. You can actually imagine the royal elephants standing inside their cells and being treated by the staff.

Where to stay in Hampi

You'll find a number of simple guesthouses and homestays located in Hampi itself, primarily in the Hampi Bazaar district. North and south of the river, they offer comfortable rooms in modest former residential buildings. Further afield, a selection of more upmarket resorts and hotels sit on the banks of the river and the nearby lake to the northwest. Many visitors choose to stay in Hosapete, to the southwest, or the small town of Kamalapur, located just south of Hampi. Both offer a greater range of accommodations than Hampi, including hotels, resorts, and hostels.
