Paradise Beach, Gokarna

(4/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Also regarded as Full Moon Beach, head over to Paradise Beach to get away from typical tourist beaches. The beach is unique because you are unable to get there via the road. You must either take a short boat ride for a small fee or hiking is also an option for a more active approach. The beach is 150km in length and lined with many coconut trees that you could set up a hammock in and relax. Because it is isolated from the busier areas, arrive prepared with food or there is a restaurant nearby. See Paradise Beach and all Gokarna has to offer by arranging your trip with our Gokarna vacation trip planner.

  • This beach made my 5 day trip to Gokarna. Somehow the entire hike, and even boat ride, does feel like you are getting away from it all. No accomodations, and food is very limited for lunch (delicious ...  more »
  • The beach can be reached by boat or hike from the Om beach. Usually, foreigners stay on this beach by pitching tents.
  • Paradise beach can be easily reached on foot from Om Beach. It is not a beach and there are resorts, where his charm, but there is a chance to hang a hammock in a grove of Palm trees. It is always in the company of other travelers, even long term, then you are safe, free camping is tolerated as well as for travellers is the bathroom in bikinis, very safe. Pure water and warm, clean beach. From morning till 17 there are sellers of fruit and water and a small family restaurant, after 17 you have to organize themselves independently. Accessible only walk along the coast along a path to esecursionisti at least some experts, impossible to go in the dark, or with a small boat (500 rupees one way/from Om Beach) which is also guaranteed until 17. Quiet atmosphere but convivial, rather wild but when we were there there were a few families with young children. Overall the best beach we saw in India:)
