Mangeshi Temple, Goa
Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Take in the ornate architecture and spiritual atmosphere of Mangeshi Temple, one of the most important temples in the area. Admire gold domed roofs and an ornate, seven-story "deepstambha," (lamp tower) standing at the entrance to the grounds, a feature typical of temples in this region. Enjoy something to eat in the onsite canteen, or grab a snack from one of the vendors outside. Be sure to dress accordingly: no short dresses, but you can rent a wraparound upon entry. Mangeshi Temple is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Goa Edition.
