Seven Sisters Waterfalls, Gangtok

Categories: Waterfalls, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
2.1/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web
Embrace the pristine atmosphere of the seven-staged waterfall at Seven Sisters Waterfalls. Savor the beauty of the falls and the surrounding greenery and take some memorable photographs. Cross over a small bridge to the stream and see a mini-rainbow which is produced by the passing of sunlight through the cascades. The area around the waterfalls is abundant with cafeterias and stalls selling maggies, momos, and coffee, as well as tea. The best time to visit is the monsoon season. Be careful, though, since the rocks can be slippery from the moisture. • I was told that the name is due to one sad incident of seven friends of a village were taken away by the falls due to sudden force of water. Great falls to view but no proper approach to the falls.
