Create an itinerary including Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple
Visit a holy place high up in the mountains at Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, built to honor a 27-year-old soldier who died while posted close to the Sino-Indian border. Singh's death in 1968 has remained the subject of myth and spiritual belief: the official version suggests that he was killed during a skirmish on a mountain pass between Tibet and Sikkim, but others state that he perished in a glacier. Legend has it that he visited one of his colleagues in a dream and asked him to build a shrine here in his memory. The shrine has become a moving tribute and a place of pilgrimage, particularly for service personnel. • Overrun by tourists who have this place as a tick mark on a to do list. What could have been a good experience is marred by crazy crowds and no real way to understand the significance of the place.

  • Its amazing to see history unfold in these preserved architectural places and to take part in the beliefs of local religion. Apart from the scenic beauty and the specifics that I am sure you'd find in other comments, it's worth mentioning that its going to be extremely cold up there so make sure you have your thickest jackets and boots with you! Water in the bottles also freezes up there, so it'll be a good idea to take warmed water in a thermos. Gloves, eye protection, socks, neck covers, and if possible mouth and nose covering should be done, you don't want your insides freezing don't you?
  • Self service coffee/tea for tourists
  • Take Couple of Bottles of Water (Mineral Water) and New Pairs of Chappals (Size 7, 8, 9, 10).
  • What to say about this place. It's really amazing, mesmerizing, mysterious and peaceful place. This has a mysterious real story of a brave 🪖 army. Really enjoyable place. Not forgetable place. Must visit place if you are planning to go Sikkim.
  • Very well maintained by the armed forces, its also a spiritual experience. People who believe can write a letter to Babaji and offer a bottle of water for any kind of physical healing. The army personnel are very helpful in guiding the process for those interested
