  • Akbar built this mansion for his third wife who was Hindu and daughter of the Maharaja of Jaipur and who gave him the only son. Very beautiful pavilions with roofs decorated with glazed blue tiles.

  • A unique integration of Hindu, Persian and Islamic Architecture. But place is full of goons and criminals. Be careful while traveling to Fatehpur Sikri. Beware of fake guides and local cheaters. Nightmare experience. 4 star only for the buildings and structure. For people over there .. -be star.
  • Great piece of architecture Place is surrounded by so called guides which they are not . They follow you like a hawk
  • The palace of jodhabai memorize the akbar's love towards the queen
  • Totally beautiful, but one of the worst travel experiences ever. From the parking lot to the bus, constantly hounded by hawkers and unofficial guides. They do not allow outside guides. Then into an overcrowded bus for the 10 minute ride from parking to gate. Upon arrival, we were still bombarded, both inside and out by these unofficial guides. We could not go more than 5 minutes without being approached, sometimes rather aggressively. We finally cut our visit short when trying to get to the mosque, we were angrily yelled at by a guide because we refused to follow him. We saw no western tourists here, and can understand why. Even our driver said he had to watch what he said there for fear of retribution. While the site is breathtaking, until they clean up their act, it is better skipped.
  • Place for Akbar’s Queen The palace, which is located on the eastern side of the entirety of the fort built in the memory of Jodha Bai or the Rajput queen of Emperor Akbar. There are many rooms with some still with decorations on the walls albeit faded. There also is a large screen TV playing a short Hindu film about the history of Fatehpur Sikri with views from above. Birbal Bhawan - This little palace was a marvel of the civil engineering of those old times, where the most trusted right-hand man and one of the wisest man of those times BIRBAL lived for many years of his life. It was nice to see the residence of the man about whom we always read during our childhood in our school history textbooks. Panchmahal is right beside it. It built in five successively receding stories, the structures of which are based on eighty-four columns which are located on the ground floor of the building Panch Mahal in Fatehpur Sikri was used by Emperor Akbar as a kind of place where he could relax and take some time out of the affairs of his kingdom It is said that the Muslim begums or wives of Emperor Akbar arrived in the Panch Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri to catch a glimpse of the moon on full moon nights.
