  • Typical of the yin & yang at Fatehpur Sikri, this seems more Hindu harem, a sanctuary among the masculine Muslim mosques. A soothing place, aided by the sandstone.

  • This is a very interesting palace built by the Great Mughal Empror called Akbar for his Rajpoot Hindu wife Jodha Bai in forte of Fatehpur Sikri.
  • Jodha Bai's palace is the largest and most important part of Imperial Harem, having all facilities, provisions and safeguards. The name Jodha Bai palace is a misnomer in itself. It is most widely accepted that the building was for Raniwas or Zenani-Dyodhi. The palace building consists of a rectangular block measuring 231'8"x215' in dimension, with a single magnificent gateway on eastern side, which was protected by guard rooms, having triangular ceiling and other apartments. Several Hindu motifs have been used in the building, which confirms that occupant of the building was a Hindu lady.
  • Such an amazing Mahal. Well known Bagam of King Akbar. very nice handmade designs on the wall and roof of the mahal. One of a room of mahal had an selling of a single stone with no joints look like it get off on us but it so strong . Such an amazing Hand work.

  • Architecture is awesome. A well maintained heritage site. It's clean and beautiful. Palace is built by Moughals, but it is designed for Jodhaa Bai, a rajpoot princess. Wow!
