4.4/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web
Visit one of the largest Buddhist institutions in India at Tibetan Buddhist Temple. Built in 1676, the monastery represents one of six major centers of the Nyingma School. Befittingly, it houses the country's tallest Buddha statue, which measures 32.6 m (107 ft) tall, as well as the world's tallest stupa (tower), standing 56 m (185 ft) high. Naturally, these tend to draw the bulk of tourists to the complex. The monastery has acted as a school for much of its existence, training scholars and yogis from all over Tibet for over 300 years.
