  • It was a wonderful place not much ti do with beauty as much as to do with history. It is a treat for those interested in the odd cross section of history and mountaineering. The animals are unique to he Himalayas so don't miss out on it just because you have seen a zoo before. The HMI (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute) is a must see. It makes you proud of your fellow human beings that they were able to achieve such great feats.

  • Absolutely loved the zoological Institute. Didn't have enough time to enter the mountaineering Institute though. Saw all kinds of animals that I'd never even seen on TV. Only thing is, I hated the way the animals were caged and heckled by some of the visitors.
