  • It is one of the best zoos of the country...at least it is my verdict. Located through the ups and downs of the mountain, the zoo has a wide variety of animals. some of them are listed as endangered. ...  more »

  • Probably one of the best zoos in India where animals are kept close to their natural habitat. Wonderful trails take you through gift zoo. Absolutely the best activity for families early in the morning when the animals are sunning themselves. Must do on your next visit to Gangtok. Don't miss the feeding of the snow leopard at around 1100
  • I visit it 1st jan 2015 unfortunately this day is monday that is why the whole Darjeeling is off in this day .(every monday off )so i don't enter🚫 inside of this but from outsidr i saw some deers 🐾 and it's nature is so beautiful .
  • Animals are well kept and easily visible except the Red Panda which is very small and often stays hidden in the trees. Lots of steep uphill walking to be done. You also get to visit HMI and one another museum present in the same compound.
  • Awesome place.... one can discover the wild life of himalyan beauti.
  • It's a nice zoo. Good for kids and nature lovers. But people behave quite immaterially by yelling and disturbing animals. I think watching wildlife and nature peacefully is most soothing than anything else. Caution: You won't get entry tickets after 4 pm. Try to go before 3 pm so that you can see every bit of it. Tiger and other animals appear and disappear so it takes time n patience. Administration should enlarge birds areas, clean it and make it camera friendly.
