Where to stay in Coonoor

The hill station of Coonoor boasts an array of accommodations, representative of its status as an established resort town. The roads that wind their way across the ridges house a number of squat hotels, stylish boutiques, and--on the more residential streets--welcoming homestays. Some heritage hotels can be found, offering a particularly quaint style of luxuriousness. • Place is really good for sight-seeing. Great panoramic view. You will enjoy there if you get you own binocular. Beware of photographers there, they take money and make promise to send your photo by mail/whatsapp and never send. They never pick calls and if so they only abuse.
  • This is definitely one of the best locations to enjoy the long range Nilgiri hills with back drop of couple of water falls. Could not have asked for more with this beautiful location. Its a good sight seeing place, we thoroughly enjoyed the drive to the place. Great for photography. Beware of the hawkers trying to sell useless stuff.
  • Great scenes. But unreasonably less crowded. Great place to watch the whole valley.. Telescope house can be improved. Lots of harmless monkeys.
  • Beautiful place, greenery all around. But crowded place and lot of litter around the place. Nonetheless, spectacular views of far away local villages on hills and nearby waterfall. Please do not litter if you visit.
  • Its a simple view of a valley where we can see Catherine falls. Other than that nothing else is there. The travelling time that we spent to reach the place and the effort that we take to park a four wheeler all will go waste once you see what's in there at this place. Images in Wikipedia are more than sufficient to know this place.
