Dhyanalinga Temple, Coimbatore

Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web
Find your balance at Dhyanalinga Temple, a consecrated Yogic temple dedicated to meditation, but which does not adhere to any single faith or belief system. True to this unique school of thought, the Sarva Dharma Sthamba at the front door symbolizes unity and displays icons of Hinduism, Christianity, Taoism, and more. People visit to meditate in peace, but also to look for the "theerthakund," a subterranean tank with a lingam made of solidified mercury submersed in the water. Visitors are welcome to take a dip in the water before meditating. If you enter the domed temple, keep in mind that silence must be maintained at all times. • The entire cosmic existence is a dhynalinga, the absolute is present in its fullest form with fullest energy in every tangible and intangible living and non-living body. He is somewhere manifested as Lord shiva, somewhere as Jesus Christ ,in any name and any shape we call him or we demarcate HIM. It has been acknowledged in bible, Koran and Bhagvat Gita that in the beginning, there was only sound ,the Nadabrahma as per HIS wish shapes are produced. Thus every shape is adorable irrespective of location.
  • Awesome place to be anytime of the year. Spend some quality time here if you want to meet "yourself". Cant express in words what i felt there or shall i say.. Out of This World.. :-) Will definitely go again.. and again..
  • Words can't describe how conducive this space is for meditation as it is completely experiential. I had the opportunity of a lifetime taking the Hata Yoga Teacher Training and being able to meditate in the temple on a regular basis. You can't help but imbibe the energy that fills the ashram just by being there and if you meditate, it simply enhances and deepens the experience. So blessed to have found Isha!
  • Very devotional place. Very quite. Dhiyanalingam very very fascinating. I have not been into so much devotion or peace of mind like this. Now it's like a tourist spot. Lot of people get in here. Can find lots of snakes here just wandering freely but not hurting any one
  • Awesome. One of the most amazing place i have visited, the calm nature, pleasing environment, and cool climate makes it most beautiful place. About the dhiyanalinga its so Divine and so peaceful. Place is well maintained and have good space for parking vehicles.
