Dhyanalinga Temple, Coimbatore

(4.5/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Find your balance at Dhyanalinga Temple, a consecrated Yogic temple dedicated to meditation, but which does not adhere to any single faith or belief system. True to this unique school of thought, the Sarva Dharma Sthamba at the front door symbolizes unity and displays icons of Hinduism, Christianity, Taoism, and more. People visit to meditate in peace, but also to look for the "theerthakund," a subterranean tank with a lingam made of solidified mercury submersed in the water. Visitors are welcome to take a dip in the water before meditating. If you enter the domed temple, keep in mind that silence must be maintained at all times. • Its a beautiful place surrounded with greens. The travel itself gives you immense pleasure if you love nature. The silence in there makes you feel yourself. Spiritually, it clears your mind and teach you the life. Very calm place. You can see a large size dhyana lingam inside. If you love silence, and nature, then you must visit here once
