Dhyanalinga Temple, Coimbatore
(4.5/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Find your balance at Dhyanalinga Temple, a consecrated Yogic temple dedicated to meditation, but which does not adhere to any single faith or belief system. True to this unique school of thought, the Sarva Dharma Sthamba at the front door symbolizes unity and displays icons of Hinduism, Christianity, Taoism, and more. People visit to meditate in peace, but also to look for the "theerthakund," a subterranean tank with a lingam made of solidified mercury submersed in the water. Visitors are welcome to take a dip in the water before meditating. If you enter the domed temple, keep in mind that silence must be maintained at all times.
