  • Huge Fort in a small Town !!!! I had visited the Fort 4 years back and got an opportunity to visit again. This place never bores me. Reached the Fort around 12 PM. Hired a guide and started the tour. The guide explained each place in a detailed manner. The Fort is such an architectural wonder, the planning of gates,walls,entry/exit etc is so astonishing. The Fort is very huge and it takes around 2-3 hours to see it completely. It would be hot in the afternoons, better to visit during morning or evenings.
  • For Best views visit in evening or morning... You may spend a whole day or even more... A small canteen serves ice cream, cold drinks and packed snacks... Better to have lunch with you if planning for a whole day... Dare for some unexplored/ lesser explored places... Treat for photography lovers.... Must check the top by climbing steep stones
  • Nice place, very big. This place has RS 15 ticket for Indians and Rs 200 for foreigners. If you want to visit place perfectly then you have to take full drink food and have the time. It take at least one day to visit. For couples, family and friends the palace is a good option.
  • Some places are difficult to explain in words. This is one of them for me. Sinse We don't wanted to be fried in the hot sun we stated our walk at 6:15 am. We also hired a guide. He explained about the fort quite good, but few information he gave was wrong. There is a lot of difference if we hire a guide and get to know the history of the fort along with enjoying beauty of fort. It is easy trek except for last half a km for reaching peak which is difficult. Be careful about the belongings if anything falls down it is difficult to go down in that path. Except one canteen nothing is available for food. Be prepared with water bottles and required food items. One good thing is there are no monkeys inside the fort. Overall a wonderful experience which I will cherish for my lifetime.
  • One of the best places to visit in Karanataka. A small town yet you can get all the necessary amenities and things. The for is beautiful, entirely made up of granitic rocks. Great view of the entire city and old buildings to see inside the fort.
