  • Went back to Muthodi wildlife after say 25 years. The charm of the place has not changed much. So much of greenery, the excitement and most importantly like-minded people who care for nature. Took my son and my mom on a wild life safari and spotted few animals as well. overall its a good experience. The driver from the forest department could be more friendly and can engage the occupants of the Jeep.
  • One of the best jungle experiences in India. We were lucky to sight a number of birds and mammals. The early morning boat ride is simply blissful. Also super lucky to have sighted courting leopards. (Attached some pictures from my trip). This place is famous for the river terns that some nesting every spring. Feb-Jun is the best time to visit for terns. Jungle lodges (River tern lodge) is THE place to stay for the most satisfying experience. In collaboration with the Govt. forest dept. the staff are highly experienced and committed to the preservation of forest wealth, not to mention the hospitality. Try to spend at least 2 nights here, chances are you'll spot most of the wildlife there is to see. Its become a little expensive though.
  • Awesome place to visit.. but yes in monsoon you can expect heavy rain and in winter it will be peaceful.. in summer one can see all dried grass.
  • Safari 4 to 6 pm. But reach there and book your name well before the time as they have couple of vans only. But safari is nice and forest officers are very cordial.
  • It is a good place to visit. If you are lucky, you will be spotting bison, spotted deer, malabar squirrel, lots of peacock and peahen. The forest is very dense. However, some of the safari vehicles are not appropriate. They just use normal Jeeps! I felt the safari price is also little bit high.
