  • Lovely place. Amazing for animal tracking however as you know it also depends on your luck. Nice road travel to this place and amazing numerous home stays on the way. An overnight stay in the forest guest house tents is a must. A British era well maintained bungalow in the middle of the forest is a good place to visit.
  • Bhadra wild sanctuary is located about 32 Kms from Chikmaglur. The drive from the town to the reserve through the mountain is good. As per the forest department, apart from many other animals and birds, this forest region Jas about 40 tigers. We had been there and enjoyed the safari thoroughly, though we didn't get to see any tiger. The drive through the green forest is worth enjoying. The jungle safari timings are between 6 and 9 am in the morning and 3.30 to 6 pm in the evening. The forest department charges 400 per person and the safari is in the department's Jeep. We can drive up to the entrance of the reserve in private vehicles, but the safari is strictly in the forest department's Jeep. It's a one hour safari. If you expect to watch tigers, chances are you may feel let down, but the drive from town to the reserve and the safari drive is worth enjoying the ride.
  • One should be lucky enough to site a Tiger here. My journey ended sighting few common animals. The experience was good. Hence the rating.
  • Visit to sanctuary arranged by Resort people. Could see wild animals like bisons and deers. But not lucky to to see a tiger :-(
  • Enjoy to way Chikkamagalurur Karnataka India bhadra river
