  • - ------ Beware of the rowers ----- - About the place The place looks so good and is a perfect destination for weekend. The boats takes you in between the mangroves. There are boats with 8-16 capacity and they even accept 2 people per boat. Charges are per head only. You can take tickets from counter. Best time to go is morning 8'o clock or evening when there is less sun. It's better to go for a motor boat if you go in afternoon, as it has a shade. They have rowed boats also available. About the rowers The rowers there are after your money only. The person who took us(Shelvam) looked descent. He told us he will take us to the inner areas if we pay him a tip. We trusted this man, and at the end he demanded 700 Rs as tip(for 320 rs ticket) from us. We paid 2x160 for 2 hours and he rode us 1 hrs 50 minutes and demanded more than twice the ticket as tip. End of the day we paid 1020 for 2ppl at the place of 320 rs, for 1:50 hrs journey. That really disappointed us and killed all our spirits.
  • Well managed and beautiful place one should go if they are around. This is the second largest mangrove forest in the world. For the better experience take row boat instead of motor boat and pay extra bucks to rower for spending some extra time in forest. Surely it will be thrilling experience.
  • It is really want to go with our life time in this place and very beautiful green place, these trees gives pure oxygen, I feel mind blowing great experience.
