Raneh Falls, Chhatarpur

Raneh Falls are particularly spectacular after a heavy rain--avoid the monsoon season, though, or you won't be able to visit them. Nearby you can also drop by a sanctuary sheltering gharials, critically endangered animals with long snouts. • I was expecting a lot from this place but it isn't as great as it was hyped. There's a canyon and that unsettling sound of violent water steaming ahead. Ample measures taken for security and a big enough place to showcasing multiple canvases of water rushing down. Best time to visit should be the monsoons when there is decent water supply or winters when you don't have to worry about scorching heat.
  • खुजराहो वाले ज़रूर जाए nice place specially in मानसून 😍 Parking, visiting and guide charges.. about 500k. Spending... time... less than 1 hour... you could enjoy more as honeymoon couple.. 😀 Scooty ride is fine from khajuraho... 😀 Best time... monsoon... • Breathtaking Raneh Fall…. a marvellous Canyon of 5 KM of igneous rocks rich in Pink Granite, Red Jasper, Brown Quartz, Basalt and Dolomite. Amazingly beautiful.
  • The Ken River forms a 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) long, and 30 metres (98 ft) deep canyon made of pure crystalline granite in varying shades of colours ranging from pink and red to grey. There is a series of waterfalls in the canyon. The larger and smaller falls run all through the year. Other seasonal falls appear during monsoons.
  • Beautiful landscape. One could see 5-6 variety of rocks at the same place. It's a grand canyon of India. If you witness the fall in rainy season, it's not less than Niagara fall... Very clean water of Ken River. You can see crocodiles during winter early morning.
