Inside you'll see a picturesque courtyard featuring a number of statues of other deities surrounding a large central pond with a shrine on the water. • The temple impresses with its colourful sculptures, large lot on the temple walls. Everything looks very nice and attractive. The temple itself consists of several buildings near a small lake. Be very pleased to take a walk on the beautiful grounds of the temple.

  • Famous temple in chennai, when chennai got flood not even water stagged out side of this temple, that is specality of this old temple.
  • Very well known temple in Chennai, big temple in heart of city. Lots of devotees visit every day but still well maintained. Parking lot is available next to temple but very difficult to get the parking slot. Better to use metro service n alight at Vadapalani metro station n walk down to temple. You can also visit Sivan temple near to this temple recently renovated which is also good n one should visit.
  • vel vel muruga
  • My favourite temple in chennai.. Looks neat and clean with iso certificate.. Full security, no wastage of money .. A famous one temple in chennai..
  • ISO standardized temple with super clean floors. Two stars less, one for the over priced prasathams and two for the priests that dont give you a flower without being tipped for at least 10 rupees.
