Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Chennai (Madras)
(4.8/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is dedicated to the Indian spiritual leader, fakir and saint--revered by Hindus and Muslims alike--who devoted his life to preaching love, forgiveness, inner peace, and charity. A devotee of Sai Baba Sri Swamiji built the temple in 1952 as the seat of the All India Sai Samaj. The richly decorated colorful facade is topped by a statue of the saint surrounded by Hindu deities. As you enter, another lifelike statue of Sai Baba greats you. See devotees receiving darshan (a glimpse of a deity) and prasada (a religious offering in food) from the priests in a calm and graceful atmosphere.
