Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Chennai (Madras)
Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is dedicated to the Indian spiritual leader, fakir and saint--revered by Hindus and Muslims alike--who devoted his life to preaching love, forgiveness, inner peace, and charity. A devotee of Sai Baba Sri Swamiji built the temple in 1952 as the seat of the All India Sai Samaj. The richly decorated colorful facade is topped by a statue of the saint surrounded by Hindu deities. As you enter, another lifelike statue of Sai Baba greats you. See devotees receiving darshan (a glimpse of a deity) and prasada (a religious offering in food) from the priests in a calm and graceful atmosphere. A temple located in the busy by lanes of Mylapore, Chennai,/dedicated to Shirdi Saibaba. This is the only temple of Saibaba, I knew of Chennai that will allow pilgrims to touch the Lord. The Lord looks at you and helps you always. The management believes in queues everywhere, and in distribution of prasadams, seems to be having very rigid people.
Best sai temple in chennai. Wonderful organizing by volunteers. Offering daily anna dhanam is a gifted option for all pilgrims and homeless people.
