  • For one low fee you can rest pretty well here and see many interesting things. Collected a very large number of plants, many have seen for the first time. Everything looks nice and sleek, plenty of places to relax, there are artificial reservoirs, for children there is a playground.

  • An oasis in concrete jungle! It's a nice and calm place to spend an evening away from the city crowd. Although adorn by the couples (for obvious reasons) the place has a pond which houses few ducks and fountains. They also have food stalls inside but it will be preferred if hold on to your hunger pangs and not get tempted to eat that not so tasty food.
  • Semmozhi Poonga, an urban park, first botanical garden in the city with 20 acres of green area situated in the midst of the city attracts tourist, plant lovers, lovers and family to witness its beauty. Timings: Opens at 6 AM Open for morning walk from 6 to 8 AM. Remains closed till 10 AM for maintenance. Reopens at 10 for visitors. Closes at 7pm Fee: Bike parking: ₹5 Entry fee : ₹15 Amenities inside: Children park Botanical garden Restrooms Small canteen. About garden: A good initiative by horticulture department of Tamil nadu government. We can seen many exotic plants, bonsai plants, palm, moracea family, ficus Benjamin, bamboo, flowering plants moth plants Herbal plants and a lot more plants. It doesn't attract much butterflies as it is not that neatly maintained now to attract butterflies. Duck water ponds are dry. Good scenic spot for photography. After 6 it's not suggestable to stay inside... Suggestions: Please carry water bottles and little food stuff to keep your energies. For all those who roam with LOVERS tag but not genuine... Behave yourself. Behold of yourself. Please don't pollute this area and our Indian culture. This semmozhi attracts families aswell, don't create a pathetic situation. Don't spoil children.
