Admire the colorful facade of Kapaleeshwar Temple, an ancient Hindu temple adorned with vibrantly painted stucco figurines. One of the oldest temples in Chennai, it was designed in the Dravidian architectural style and is dedicated to a form of Shiva presented as a peacock, and his consort, Parvati. Take in the spiritual atmosphere of the revered temple and observe the ornately decorated, 37 m (121 ft) tall "gopuram" entrance tower. • The main attraction what I found is the dome of the temple which is very good. There are lots of small temple inside the premises apart from the few inner sanctus. The inner sanctum is small, so one might need to get in line. It is situated in at very congested place so would need to face traffic.
  • There is not much space to park the vehicle. Traffic and parking is very badly managed - always. It gets really very hard during weekends to find a space and park the car. But they are extremely good in collecting the parking charges even before you could park
  • An excellent Hindu temple.
  • Nice place to clam your mind
  • The biggest chariot I've ever seen. Comes out once a year and it is an absolute beauty!
