Kalikambal Temple, Chennai (Madras)
Categories: Sacred & Religious Sites, Tourist Spots
Stop at Kalikambal Temple and take in its vibrantly colored, intricately sculpted entrance. Originally built closer to the shore, the temple was actually moved and rebuilt in 1640. Reportedly, Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji frequented the site to pray. Bear in mind that the temple stands in a busy central area and parking could prove very difficult.
