Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web
Stop at Kalikambal Temple and take in its vibrantly colored, intricately sculpted entrance. Originally built closer to the shore, the temple was actually moved and rebuilt in 1640. Reportedly, Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji frequented the site to pray. Bear in mind that the temple stands in a busy central area and parking could prove very difficult. • The temple is very small, on an inspection time is not necessary. Worth a visit are passing by, but not worth it. Enjoyed a large variety of bright colors, which were painted sculptures on the temple walls. Inside, too, everything is bright and colorful. Tourists here.
