  • To enter this protected reserve you need a permission from the Forest Department - plan around 1 to 2 hours for that. You will be escorted by a forest ranger. The office is located in the parc itself, so you have to cross the 'Childrens Parc' - you should ask at the entrance for the Forest Department.
  • Guindy National Park is a 2.70 km² Protected area of Tamil Nadu, located in Chennai, South India, is the 8th smallest National Park of India and one of the very few national parks situated inside a city.
  • One of the Lush green national park in Chennai. But not well maintained and not tourist friendly. Quite a boring place indeed. But it could be very relaxing to explore the green national park in weekends.
  • Good place to visit with kids. The park is not as big as others in south India but one of the more efficient ones as you have animals in abundance and you won't get tired doing a walk through the park. In addition the trees provide ample shade.
  • Peaceful atmosphere, relatively cooler than the city. A handful of animals can be seen here. The snake park is a great place for reptile lovers.
