  • Its best to visit with kids along as they can get to see many animals and reptiles.. It was a huge zoo and one can spend close to 4-5 hrs there if they go by walk. or 2-3 hrs if its by bi-cycle or a Z...  read more »
  • To visit this Zoo and catch everything pass, it is necessary to lay down a lot of time. The territory of the Zoo occupies a very large area of the forest. In General, this is certainly a plus, is that for animals plenty of space, but to bypass the need to spend the entire day. Entrance fee here is quite small-only 60 rupees.

  • I visited here with my family. It took a whole day to cover the entire zoo.elderly people will find difficult to walk.Cycles, toy train are available.Zoo will b closed on all Tuesday's
  • In spite of hot climate, zoo provides wonderful facilities for visitors as well as animals. Best place to spend time with your family. Thank you Arignar Anna zoo for not commercializing like other zoo in India. Very satisfied for making this place affordable for poor also. In the name economic growth, everything is commercialized and taxed. Not this place. Thanks God for showing us little mercy
  • Big natural park to see wild animals in its nature. Need more energy to roam fully. But food is not allowed. Have to buy what its sold inside. Really good effort taken. Very near to chennai city. Needs one full day to enjoy.
  • Spending time is of course fine but when it comes to the cycle facility, they don't have brakes actually. It is okay that we shouldn't use horns in zoo because of noise disturbance but what is there with brakes? Its was so difficult and funny for me to drive it without brake and horn. I was literally shouting the others like " stay away! coming through!" while driving. But other than that this place is like so awesome.
  • Nice and calm... new roads and vehicles inside zoo is good... Price;;;; Adults 30rs and from age 2 to 10 its 10rs, mobile camera its 25rs for a single phone. Handy cam its 150rs.... rates are ok but when u charge 25rs for each phone its too much coz most of the family are having upto 4 mobiles in total.. so when a family of 5 enters they will pay 150 for entry ticket and 125 for mobile... Animals inside zoo:: All the animals were in same place and same area when i started to visit this place from 2002. No improvements in any new look. Only the frontage look is changed. Try to bring something new!!!!!!!!!
  • Ideal for children and for adults who have an interest in animals. Located on the southern gateway out of Chennai city on GST road, Vandalur is an ideal picnic spot for the whole family. Having own transport will be ideal but nevertheless it is well connected by road and suburban rail network. Traffic congestion at the junction is unavoidable in the mornings & evenings. Ideal to visit after the monsoon - September to February. The entire family will enjoy the trip.
