(2,400+ reviews on the web)
Nature / Park
Admire the eclectic stone sculptures in The Rock Garden of Chandigarh, a spacious park and outdoor exhibition space featuring an array of art pieces made entirely out of recycled materials. The project was created in 1957 as a hobby of local government official Nek Chand, who collected junkyard materials from around the city. Exploring the park, today a landmark of Chandigarh, you can view thousands of charming statues made from broken glass, cement, and other discarded materials. Use our Chandigarh holiday planner to add The Rock Garden of Chandigarh and other attractions to your Chandigarh vacation plans.

  • This garden is designed by a single person. The best thing is all the material used is waste material. It is devided in three phases. All of phases have their own importance. You will enjoy your day at this place. I will recommend you to see this place at once.
  • As we know rock garden is made out of waste and it's really good to see how it has been made... The garden has 3 phase and the 1 St phase and 3 phase has waterfall. The main attraction is at last point few distance before exit were you can really see the art sculptures. Overall a good place expect more towards exit...
  • A must visit if you have ever been to Chandigarh. A laid back and pretty enjoyable place. A worth visit which requires around 3-4 hours to cover all the monuments inside and sit and relax.
  • A truly unique place. Visited a lot as a kid. Even now it it a wonderful place. Awesome sculptures and very interesting use of waste materials. A must visit in the city.
  • If you have two hour time to spend, and relaxed enough to roam, its a must place to visit. Best artistic creation. A canteen and rest rooms are there.
