Tiger Falls, Chakrata
(4.4/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Nestled within a hilly landscape, Tiger Falls draws nature enthusiasts who like to hike far off the beaten paths. With a drop of 95 m (312 ft), it is considered one of the highest waterfalls in Uttarakhand. A short and easy concrete path leads from the parking area to the base of the waterfall, but you can trek on a 5 km (3.1 mi) trail that leads through the forest of rhododendron and oak trees. Once there, take a dip into a refreshing pool or bring a snack and pick a picnic spot. It is just a matter of time before this pristine natural sanctuary ends up on every tourist map. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Chakrata holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Tiger Falls and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.
