  • Beautiful Terracotta Temple. Probably one of the best terracotta temple in West Bengal. 15 to 20 minutes away from Bishnupur Railway station. From station you have take a rickshaw, to reach the temple. they will charge INR 50 to 75. It is the one way fare. There is a waterbody beside the temple where the local people tests their fishing skills. You can purchase terracotta handicrafts in front of temple made by local people.

  • Bishnupur jorbangla temple is a very old temple. This temple is under the supervision the arkiology history of India. This temple is surrounded by many terakota. It is a best temple of the bishnupur
  • Jor-bangla temple is located in a somewhat peaceful area of Bishnupur (which is saying a lot). The area is not as peaceful as Shyam Rai, but it's nicer than other temples. It's supposed to be one of the youngest temples in the area, but it makes up with the beauty of its walls. IMO, this is the second most beautiful temple in Bishnupur after Shyam Rai. It is a single building temple with a classic Bangla style roof. All its terracotta walls are adorned with beautiful, complex and intricate statues, carvings and reliefs depicting stories and events from Hindu mythology, the court, palace, daily lives, war, and so on.
  • The Jorbangla Temple resembles two thatched huts joined together and a single tower. This Temple in brick was built by the Malla King Raghunath Singh in 1655. The structure was erected on one metre high platform using laterite bricks. The entire outer surface is decorated with terracotta plaques displaying various aspects of human life and culture, gods and goddesses, animals, floral and geometrical designs.
