Taj ul Masajid, Bhopal

(4.3/5 based on 95+ reviews on the web)
Visit one of the most distinguished mosques in the world and India at Taj ul Masajid. Named as a crown of the mosques, its Mughal architecture and enormous size contribute to its fame. Constructed as an attempt to be the largest mosque in the world in the year 1877, it wasn’t finished until 1971. See the pink frontage and the towering terracotta walls which fortify the shining white domes of the building, as well as the paved marble floors and intricately detailed interior. The mosque also serves as a ‘madarsa’, an Islamic school. Do not come on Fridays if you are non-Muslim. • Good place to visit in Bhopal. the mosque will transfer you to the old India. You can feel how it would all have looked backed then. The place is nice and one time must see if you are in bhopal.  The most prominent feature of the mosque is its towering two Minarets, which goes to greatheight. also the dome(s) of the mosque is believed to be made of such material that it shines all around the year, be it day or night.  A great architecture and a good place.

  • Wow !!! very beautiful place looking for amazing big and large place I have a going servel time The meaning of Taj-ul-Masjid translates to ‘The Crown of Mosques,’ and the magnificent architecture reflects just that. The masjid was built between the years 1868 and 1901, started by Sultan Shah Jehan Begum of Bhopal. Not only is the mosque the largest in the country, but it also happens to be the second largest mosque in Asia. Made of red stone, the mosque is situated by the lake referred to as the Motia Talab Local City Bhopal ......
