  • A great collection of artifacts and information about the state. The age old statues and sculptures dating back to BC and 8 - 10 AD reminds us of the great Indian culture and tradition. It also provides you information about the royal kingdoms of the state which takes you to a different era full of grandeur and richness. The museum is superbly maintained and is located on Shamla hills a serene locality which adds to the elegance of the place. This was my second visit to the Museum and would be happy to go there once again the third time and will also strongly recommend tourists not to miss out this excellent place.
  • This museum has artifacts ranging from Harappan period upto the recent past. Some of the artifacts are magnificent. The collection of paintings is really good. There is also a nice collection of musical instruments. Some objects belonging to the Nawabs and Begums of Bhopal are on display as well.
  • Presently, this museum is home to seventeen galleries, housing historical works including excavated objects, pre-historic articles and fossils, royal collection, sculptures, paintings, documentary heritage and textiles of Madhya Pradesh. Also, you can witness some real nice masterpieces such as miniatures, musical instruments, weapons and coins that reflect the rich heritage of the city
  • This is the place for one who understands and appreciates real architecture, historical findings or artifacts. Situated just opposite to the Tribal Museum, this is really well maintained and an amazing place to have a closer look back into the history and the creations of our ancestors.
  • A must visit place having 18 galleries and marvellous collection of ancient sculptures.
