  • Its a place within Bangalore, still not in Bangalore. Very good place. Best time to go is at 7-8 am, because there is a healthy crowd, so you do feel safe. The people that come at 7-8 am are the regular ones and are really helpful. If you are going for the first time and are alone, I would recommend to stick to the broad and valid pathways. If you are going with a few friends then the entire 800 acres is there for your disposal. Just one request to all if you find any litter around, please pick it up and put it in your bags and dispose it off somewhere outside, because I thinks it's of no use to request the people to stop littering the place, so better we clean it. Enjoy !
  • Calm, close to city and accessibility. Best for trekking, cycling and bikers. Early morning or evening are the best time. Try to visit right after rainy season for excellent greenery and during winter seasons. This place is not commercialised yet. Hence visit asap. Keep water bottles and some snacks. Can also plan family trip - carry your breakfast along. Keep in mind not to spoil this beautiful place, hence don't throw empty bottles and containers anywhere. There are lot of bins kept at various places, use them for trash. Avoid visit while raining. Slippery mud roads inside. Wish you happy weekend trip...
  • It was more of a eucalyptus plantation than a forest as 95% of the greenery is from them. Spread over a couple of acres with a few rocks in between. Also a couple of trekking/cycling trails. Somewhat calm and quiet once you get into the middle. Nice place to relax. Beware of the glass pieces from broken beer bottles though. They're everywhere. Dunno why people do this even though there are lots of waste bins, some even marked specifically for bottles.
  • A great weekend getaway within the city limits. Calm serene hill top with a good view of Savandurga Hills. Hike to the top is interesting. Evenings would be an ideal time to visit, but ensure that you know your way back once its dark. Best to go with a small group of about 5-7 people. Parking would be at the owners risk as there is no proper parking facility there. Biking is also a good option if you are an adventure oriented person. . Sincere request to people, please keep the area clean, do not litter with polythene bags, liquor bottles and food. If you carry anything with you, please ensure that you get it back and dispose at proper disposal places. We need to ensure that we respect mother nature and ensure that she is kept clean. "Respect Nature.. Nature Respects You"
  • It's a great place to go on week days. The terrain is pretty smooth so I take my dog for playing or trekking there. But on weekends the place is filled with people making loud noise and you hardly get to see any wild animals or birds like peacock.
