Colorful blooms and lush greenery come alive at Lalbagh Botanical Garden, one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. Commissioned on the orders of the former ruler of Mysore, a local kingdom, the gardens trace their origins to the second half of the 18th century. You can explore the extensive grounds that stretch for more than 97 hectares (240 acres), admiring centuries-old species of trees and a number of collections exhibiting different floral varieties. Join a guided tour to learn more about the origins of the complex and the plants themselves. Lalbagh botanical garden is a must if you visit Bangalore. It's a beautiful park with a big lake, gardens and numerous exotic flowering plants and fruit trees. The bonsai garden opens at 10 am and is surely worth a visit. You can also see variety of birds nesting in the trees of this green, enormous park! People exercise here and enjoy being in the park either during early morning hours or before sunset, or throughout the day. It's a truly refreshing feeling. So, I highly recommend it!
The botanical garden contains parks, lakes. Filled with beautiful trees and lush green lawns. I love being around nature so it was a good experience. The place is beautiful and peaceful. There a so so many beautiful plants🌷 there it was so fun to visit that place. I clicked a lot of pictures there. Do pay a visit to this place!
A fantastic lung place within the heart of South-Central Bangalore. A much needed respite to Bangaloreans from the city's concrete jungle and traffic. An all time favorite for morning walkers and also for tourist crowd. Easily accessible from all parts of Bangalore city. Metro train has been another blessing for the visitors here. Two special occasions worth the mentioning are Republic Day and Independence Day. For both the occasions, extravagant flower shows are arranged. People from across the world throng here on these occasions to experience nature's play of colours.
Lalbagh is among the only place in Bangalore that still does justice to the city's tag of 'Garden City'. There is a wonderful pathway to walk / run. A dedicated area for kids to enjoy the greenery. There are numerous groups which gather here for running / yoga / pilate etc. This place hosts various events such as the flower show etc. Added to that, Lalbagh has a lot of Historic significance as well. It has a dedicated parking available and the area surrounding Lalbagh has many famous food joints as well. Lalbagh is the most serene place in the city of Bangalore. You will not be disappointed if you do choose to visit this place.
Very nice place to spend time with family, friends, kids, elderly people.. This garden is full of beautiful landscapes, flowers, trees, jogging tracks etc. Once can easily spend time even whole day. If you are looking for a place to spent time far away from city crowd then this is perfect for you. Take a silent corner and read and watch your favorite books or movie 😊.
