Vidhana Soudha and Attara Kacheri, Bengaluru (Bangalore)

Categories: Architectural Buildings, Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web
Vidhana Soudha and Attara Kacheri houses the seat of the state legislature in a grand white building, as well as the Karnataka High Court in a much less imposing, red-brick building sitting just behind the state legislature. The first structure stands as the largest legislative building in India, featuring four floors and 12 massive granite columns, with the Indian national emblem topping the central dome. When you visit, look for the inscription on the front of the building: "Government's Work is God's Work." The latter structure boasts Greco-Roman style architecture and elegant Ionic porticoes at its center. Unfortunately, it's very difficult for tourists and common people to gain entrance to the buildings.
