Shivoham Shiva Temple, recently built in 1995, is rumored to hold the most powerful Shiva statue in the world. Due to the gigantic idol, thousands of devotees visit each year to pay their respects at the temple, whose creation itself is a bit of a marvel. Ravi V. Melwani, founder of the temple, hired a sculptor named Kashinath, who molded the statue with his bare hands, without a plan or measuring tool. At the entrance, find the largest Shiva Linga gate in the city. Farther in, find a Lord Ganesha statue as well as two bell towers that make the location of the healing stones, which are said to have miraculous healing powers. • Actually there is no temple entry fee for your visit. You should pay for chapal counter thats it. If u want to perform pooja and seva u can buy ticket of 150rs. People in temple here sit everywhere to cheat you and collect money. Don't get fooled by paying what they ask. Management has to take strict action on the people who cheat here. These people force the devotees to buy tickets. Someone has to complain on the management to take action against the people who cheat devotees.
  • (MINUS MINUS 50) Worst thing is money minded management who don't bother to loot devotees and not to give some peace of mind to have darshan for lord shiva.Temple authorities must maintain the dignity of temple by allowing devotees to have peaceful darshan and not to have ticket counters and gates at each and every corner .If you are coming first time, you will feel like looted by temple with extraordinary and unnecessary high prices. Anyway, don't listen to any ticket seller and buy ticket only for shoe counter(5/-).. Otherwise , they would like to charge you Rs.250/- ( Per head) .. which includes special darshan Rs.100/-( Not needed unless long ques during special occasions and during festivals it is above 200/-), panchadam Darshan 30/-, Jyothirling darshan( 20/-) , ( Only first time is enough, you can buy this two tickets for 50/- at respective places ) Diya ( 30/-),Camera ( 25/-) 108 coins,Dhoopam etc . and others. .. Ticket buying is your wish and no need to buy any ticket for lord shiva darshan(Big statue).even staff working over there are very rude and misbehaves and even abuse.
  • This type of temples are meant only to loot money from devotees! Every step 30-40 Rs.. Entry fees 150/- Lord Shiva statue is huge which looks good and attractive, main attraction to loot money! It's more like exhibition than temple. I wanted to take rounds around Navagraha, they asked 25/- I would suggest Gavi Gangadhareshvara temple,(Banashankari) if you really want to take Darshan of Lord Shiva.. It's ancient and has a fantastic history. A sunray falls right on Shiva-Linga on an auspicious day once in an year.. It's amazing how a sunray reaches inside cave through walls of cave..
  • 5 stars for the beautiful lord shiva idol and the surroundings. Beautiful temple indeed. 0 or -5 stars for the money minded management. Must visit at least once if you are in bangalore. Just be careful from the cheap management tactics to loot you in all possible ways and places.
  • Best placein bangalore. A must visit. Huge statue of lord shiva. Its worth 30rs.also take 20rs ticket for dham yatra. Kedarnath shivling is of real ice.,and u can touch it. Again the best place.
