  • Chandragiri is famous for its 17th century fort near Chandragiri river. The river was the border between two erstwhile kingdoms - the Kolathunadu and Thulunadu. The fort offers a breathtaking view of the river and the Arabian Sea. It is a vantage point to watch the sunset. There is a beautiful bridge over the river at Tekkil some five miles from Chandragiri. Boat trips to nearby islands and palm groves are also available.
  • Truly a lone fort on one side of Kasaragod coast, accessible by road, but the road leading from main road towards the fort needs some effort to reach.. Worth the drive to get a panoramic view around the fort of the river meeting the sea and lush greenery around the palace. Some developments are required
  • Fort of shivapa naik. Good construction
  • Chandragiri Fort is located in Kasaragod district of kerala state. It is one of the oldest forts in Kerala. This fort is bordered by the Chandragiri River. This fort was constructed in the 17th century and has a total area of 7 acres. The fort made of laterite stones is square shaped and is around 46 meters in length.
  • Needs some development Dear Government.. Dilapidated state made me feel sad about this historical monument, people hardly visit because of its poor maintenance. Its something that is as important as the Bekal fort and unless Govt. improves it, I doubt people would even recognize it in future. Action needed dear govt.
