Susunia Hill, with a height of about 440 m, is an ideal place for rock climbing in West Bengal. It is the second rock climbing site in the state after Darjeeling hills. Stone inscriptions of the fourth century king, Chandra Verma, were discovered from this place. Every year a fair is conducted at the southern foot of the hills.

Susunia is 7 km north of Chhatna, which is in the outskirts of district head quarter Bankura. Bankura is well connected with Calcutta and Durgapur with road and rail network.Direct bus services to Susunia is also available from Bankura.Govertment is building an eco park and guest house by the hill, once it is completed, tourist can stay by the hill and enjoy its natural beauty for more time.
