Bhadra Maruti, Aurangabad
(4.2/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Admire mosaic ceilings, floral motifs and hymns written all over the interior of Bhadra Maruti, a tall ornate Hindu temple made of white marble. Built in the 1960s as the house of a unique and old and intensely orange-colored image of Lord Hanuman, this is one of the three temples in which you can see Hanuman in a sleeping or reclining position. The legend has it that Hanuman was entranced having heard a devotional song sung by King Bhadra dedicated to Lord Rama. Devotees flock here to seek the blessing and the place gets crowded over weekends. Try some peda sweets sold around the temple. • The temple is huge and it is the only place where Lord Hanuman is in in resting position. He lays down and looks upwards. The eyes are the most prominent feature and looks to be alive.
  • Most famous holy place for aal devotees.
  • One of the Hanumana Temple in India where Lord is lying down, surrounded by hills, Place is very crowded usual all on Saturdays, Sign Boards are in local language visitors find difficult read, Separate entry for Women, yes "Women", they won (earn) their right now, you can finish off with Darshan hardly in 10 mins.
  • Here the Murti of Hanuman ji is in vishram position means he is lying on the bed and such murtis are very rare. About 50 kms from Aurangabad, it is an important pilgrim centre!!
  • Holy place ,also peacefull. Better transport services.
